Chelsey is an artist from Norman Wells who learned how to draw from her grandmother. Her and her grandmother would spend a lot of their time together drawing and colouring, learning how to create art since she was a little girl.
Chelsey gathers her inspiration to create art by positive feelings, the nature and beauty around her as well as living in the North; the materials she prefers to work with encompass all painting mediums. Chelsey is also not the only artist in her family, her aunt in Ontario is also an artist.
Most of Chelsey's paintings are done in an office at her grandmother's house; the start of her artistic endeavors. She finds with each piece she creates she learns something new which is one of the things she loves most about creating art.
The uniqueness about Chelsey's art in her opinion is each painting itself. Each painting she does is for someone and will never be duplicated, this happens because she puts her own touch to a traditional style of painting animals (tribal).
