Biographie de l'artiste:

Through out my childhood I was fortunate to watch some of my favourite Inuvialuit artists create traditional crafts. They would give me opportunities to sew beside them and to learn about all of the materials used in the process. It is through these experiences that I gained characteristics like patience, and creativity. Now when I am creating something I make sure that it is done to the best of my capabilities.

I am from Paulatuk, NT, it is a community in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. It may be small but it has no shortage of cultural pride and traditions. I am currently living in Fort Smith, NT where I continue to expand on my artistic techniques.

I have made many different crafts, some of them include: beading and embroidering on stroud, kamiks and mitts with fur pelts, crochet and knitted items, beaded earrings with Miyuki delica beads, and designing and making slippers with repurposed knit sweaters.

Creating art is something that I take pride in because it is an expression of how I view my culture and identity. I plan on putting my ideas and experiences into art form for the rest of my life.
