Tusaayaksat means “stories that need to be heard”. 

Tusaayaksat is the only magazine that has told the stories of Inuvialuit (Western Arctic Inuit) and has served Inuvialuit Beneficiaries for more than 30 years. It has been recognized across the country at the National Magazine Awards as a finalist for the Best Magazine (Special Interest) category. We are a non-profit, Northern, and Inuvialuit-centered publication from the Inuvialuit Communications Society (ICS) based in Inuuvik, Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR), and we strive to have all of our content produced by either Inuvialuit, Indigenous people, or Northerners.
