Rosalie was born on the land near the community of Whatì, Northwest Territories, where she spent her entire life. She was a master sewer who devoted her life to creating beautiful beadwork and embroidery designs on moosehide. Her work included slippers, moccasins, purses, cardholders, gun cases, bullet bags, and mukluks.
Her craftsmanship reflected a lifetime of skill, dedication, and deep cultural knowledge. Rosalie’s work continues to be remembered and valued for its beauty and the traditions it carried forward.
