Lawrence Francis is Gwich'in who was born in Inuvik, NT, but now calls Tsiigehtchic, NT his home. Lawrence explores artwork within his carving, painting, drawing, and painting of business signs. He is an established artist with thirteen years of self-taught experience. His mother created traditional crafts, and his brother is a wood and soapstone carver. Lawrence became an artist to support himself, and he always finds satisfaction when creating artwork for other people to enjoy. His artwork can be viewed at the Tsiigehtchic Charter Community office and various homes around the area, within Inuvik and Fort McPherson, NT. Artwork can be purchased directly from the artist.
