Robert Horassi was born in Tulita, NWT where he has lived for over 50 years. Robert has been a trapper all his life, during the last 10 years Robert started to work with wood pieces and stone. Soon a hobby of Robert’s turned into pieces of art he would create. From carving wood and stone as a means to pass time, he now makes Traditional Tools, from Knives to Hide Scrappers to snowshoes and miniature moose skin boats. Robert’ artwork can be viewed and purchased at the Norman Wells Historical Centre located in Norman Wells, NT.
