NWT Arts

My name is Monogli Nasogaluak, I'm an Indigenous artist living in the NWT. My artistic ambition is inspire others to explore their own creative outlet with my own artwork. I started experimenting with art when I was a baby, since I first picked up a pen, and I haven't stopped creating since. Drawing is all I've ever done, it's what I love doing, and still love doing to this day. I love drawing because when I see my own work, my ideas and messages being brought to life through a single drawing, it inspires. If I can look at my work and feel inspired, maybe that same feeling may be passed to others. What inspires me the most, to draw and create, is really everything around me. People inspire me, movements and current events, I feel the need to express my reactions and emotions, so I will draw anything. As stated before, my dream is to help others find inspiration, mainly through my artwork, to find their own way of creating, so that their thoughts and feelings can be expressed in a beautiful way. Because without an outlet like that, life will become less bearable for many people.
