Eugene Gagnon
Artist Bio
I'm a hobby artist who enjoys carving, sculpting, landart, trash art, jewelry, leatherwork, and installations.
My art is inspired by my deep connection to nature and observations on humanity's impact on the world. I find my inspiration in northern fauna and flora, the whimsy of Fairies and Gnomes, the impacts of forest fires and mythical creatures.
I work with a wide range of materials, including what nature offers (snow, wood, stone, bones and leather) as well as metal, salvaged domestic and industrial waste.
I split my time between Fort Smith during the fire season and Yellowknife for the snowcastle season.
