Artist Bio

Washington Reimer is a queer and transmasculine artist from Langley, British Columbia. He studied traditional printmaking at the University of the Fraser Valley. He grew up on the unceded territories of the Katzie, Kwantlen, and Semiamhoo Nations, surrounded by vibrant nature and beautiful oceans.

Currently, Washington is a practicing mixed media artist. He works primarily in linocut printmaking on paper, fabric, and leather. All of his works are small batch, hand pressed designs, often with unique watercolour embellishments. His art stems from a love of the natural world and aims to use safe and environmentally friendly materials.

Washington is priviledged to live and work on the land of the Sahtu Dene People in Tulita NWT.
