Aurora Emporium Art Gallery is a northern owned business featuring original paintings, authentic northern stone and bone carvings, buffalo leather wallets and bags, birch bark baskets, souvenirs, and more. The gallery also provides teaching services, commissioned works of art and corporate gifts.
Down to Earth Gallery is an artist run art gallery selling original northern art created by NWT artists. The artists of the gallery also offer various art workshops.
The Fireweed Studio is located in Somba K'e Park next to city hall and only open during the summer months (select hours). The Fireweed Studio is the perfect spot to pick up a unique piece of pottery or fibre art piece.
Frozen Rock Studio has upwards of eight artists, focusing in different mediums, from different cultural backgrounds. Come an experience a real carving studio and see art being made first-hand.
Gallery of the Midnight Sun is the NWT's largest gallery and gift shop offering a wide selection of outerwear, northern apparel, books, souvenirs, giftware, Canadian diamonds and jewelry, furs and craft supplies.
We sell beads & craft supplies, distributor of fur from the Hide and Fur Program (ITI). Hats & apparel, artisan boutique with new hand made items weekly. Located at the Center Ice Plaza open daily 10am-6pm
Mother Earth Rocks is a home studio of Danny Hudson and Laura Love. In the studio, they carry unique handmade northern gifts made by friends and family across the North as well as themselves.
Yellowknife Glass Recyclers was formed in 1994 to find a way to transform unwanted bottles into useful glassware. After several years of experimentation, we have arrived at a method of creating drinking glasses, vases, candleholders and other assorted glassware. Each piece is handcrafted and decorated with northern designs.
Signed is a local graphic design and print shop specializing in signs and banners. But really Janet and her team can take care of all your design and printing needs! Home of Ptarmi arts and crafts!
<p>We opened the gift store at the airport in hopes of offering authentic NWT crafts to all local and tourist shoppers. We like to be the first and last stop for everyone who passes through the airport and proud to buy as much local and hand made products we can.</p>
The Quilted Raven opened in 2011 and is a quilting shop specializing in fabric, supplies and notions. We feature local Northern patterns as well including Ptarmi Patterns and Seriously Northern Quilting Patterns.

Established in 1979, we have actively promoted sales of books relating to the North and promoting Indigenous authors. From Day 1, it was our hope that eventually that "Northern" material would be written by Northerners. Today a good number of the books we sell are written by, or in collaboration with, Northern residents. We were proud and excited in helping to found "Northwords Festival" and work diligently to promote and foster Northern writers and writing.
The Yellowknife Guild of Arts and Crafts conducts workshops and classes through the year. It also holds Christmas and Spring sales at the Guilds Building (113 Kam Lake Road) and the summer sales at the Fireweed Studio (in Somba K’e Park, 4807 52 St).
